Nail Technician
Our Nail Technician courses combine manicure, pedicure, gel nail extensions or acrylic nail extensions. After an initial introduction you can choose which type of nail extension you wish to learn. Our nail technician course is designed to save you money and provide a cheaper alternative to the full NVQ in Nail Services.

Following an introduction to the different types of extension, the differences and benefits of each type, you can choose which system you would like to concentrate on and perfect over the 2 days.
Entry requirement for Nail Technician Courses
No previous experience is necessary to complete our Nail Technician courses.
Nail Services NVQ Level 2
A full NVQ qualification in Nails is fast becoming the industry required standard in salons. Our nail courses will enable you to provide a complete nail technology service and work as a professional nail technician.

Our NVQ Level 2 nail course covers manicure and pedicure, gel or acrylic nail extensions and nail art. You will chose what system to work with when you attend your course.
The nail course is made up of 4 core subjects. You can complete all your nail courses within the same week if required and book your optional course on a different week.
Once you successfully complete your nail courses you will receive your Diploma. This will enable you to obtain public liability insurance and start earning whilst you study for your NVQ Level 2.

The course also includes the following units for home study:
- Fulfill salon reception duties
- Develop and maintain effectiveness at work
- Promote additional services or products to clients

Get NVQ qualified and improve your employability
You can also obtain an NVQ qualification in Nail Services.
- Externally accredited qualifications increase your chances of getting jobs as employers recognise these qualifications as work ready in the same way as GCSE’s and A levels in other subjects.
- Accredited qualifications are recognised both nationally and internationally e.g. NVQ’s in England & Wales and SVQ’s in Scotland. The opportunity to work abroad or on cruise ships is significantly increased by having these qualifications accredited externally.
- You will be able to obtain public liability insurance.
- Some advanced courses require an accredited qualification as a pre-requisite for the course.
Beginner Nail Extensions
A beginner’s introduction to nail extensions.
Choose your nail extension system, either gel or acrylic and spend 2 days mastering a technique. Alternatively you can spend 1 day of on each system – it’s up to you.

You will learn how to prepare the nail, apply clear tips and blend followed by the curable Acrylic and Gel overlays.

Manicure and Pedicure Training Course
Our manicure and pedicure training course is a great start to working with nails.
You will learn a variety of techniques and skills that will equip you to be confident in delivering nail procedures to your clients. Our manicure and pedicure training course is a 1 day course and can contribute to the Nail Services NVQ.

Gel Nail Extensions
Gel nail extensions is a popular course for those looking to offer nail extension services. You will cover tip sizing and blending, natural nail overlay, natural tip and overlay, French tip and overlay and sculpting.
Gel has the reputation of giving a natural result and is ideal for long term users. Application is generally thought to be the easiest to apply amongst the choice of overlay systems.
The product you will use on our Gel Nail Extension nail courses is EZ Flow.
What will i get when i complete the course?
Once you successfully complete the gel nail extensions course you will receive your diploma. This will enable you to obtain public liability insurance.
Acrylic Nail Extensions
The liquid and powder technique combines well with the Gel course ensuring that you have knowledge of two of the most popular nail enhancement systems. Tuition includes natural nail overlay, natural tip and overlay, French tip and overlay and sculpting.
A strong and durable system that appeals to a wide clientele. Application requires skill and an eye for detail to achieve salon quality results.
The product you will use on our Acrylic Nail Extension nail courses is EZ Flow.

Once you successfully complete the acrylic nail extensions course you will receive your Diploma. This will enable you to obtain public liability insurance.
Fibreglass Nail Extensions
Learning how to create silk and fibreglass extensions is a needed skill to offer clients as an alternative to gel or acrylic overlay systems. Natural nail overlay and natural tip overlay will be taught along with Nail repair techniques.
This system is the least likely to cause an allergic reaction on clients prone to allergies and is more commonly used for natural nail repairs and strengthening.
The product you will use on our Fibreglass Nail Extension nail courses is EZ Flow.

Nail Art Training Course
An exciting fun course teaching the latest nail decorating techniques using gems, transfers, glitter, marbling, striping, freehand painting and many more.
Once trained you will be able to use this technique on both finger nails and toe nails.
